The foot is the contact point where power enters the bike. If it is unstable, the problem travels upwards β into the knee, the hip, the back.
What you get
A pair of thermoform insoles, made during the appointment for your cycling shoes. They are moulded to your foot and your shoe rather than selected from a size range.
When insoles make sense
- the foot rolls inside the shoe, or the arch collapses under load
- numbness or hot spots on longer rides
- knee pain whose cause sits further down
- the cleat position is right but the feel is not
How the session runs
The foot is assessed under load, not sitting down. The insole is then moulded, checked inside the shoe and set up together with the cleat position.
What comes next
If the insoles change the foundation, the position above it is worth revisiting. The reverse holds too: in a bike fitting, the feet are part of the analysis.
