Custom insoles for cycling are not an off-the-shelf product. They make sense when your foot does not sit calmly on the pedal, pressure becomes one-sided, or the connection between shoe, cleat and foot is unstable.
At CycleFit Europe in Bensheim we donβt look at the insole in isolation β it is part of the foot and cockpit work during the bike fit. That way the support matches your real load rather than an assumption.
When insoles help
- pressure points or numbness in the forefoot on longer rides
- a foot that tips or collapses inward on the pedal
- an unstable base that carries into knee or hip movement
- discomfort that does not resolve after cleat or shoe changes
How we approach it
We start with foot behaviour, mobility and the on-bike analysis. Only when the pressure pattern and movement justify an insole do we fit the right support β matched to cleat position and shoe.
The goal is a calmer, more durable connection to the pedal that holds up on the road.
